OCDF Explore-a-Province Book Series

China is a vast country! This book series is designed for families and educators who want to go beyond broad generalizations about China, and explore the wide variety of life and culture in each of China's provinces and municipalities. Each hardbound book in this series will focus on one province or municipality, and is written from the perspective of a young person (high school or college age) traveling in that province for the summer. In addition to being packed with information on such topics as history, literature, architecture, foods, famous people, things to see and do, and geography, the books are written in a fun and engaging style, with full-color photos and illustrations on each page.

The first book in this series focuses on Anhui province, and is currently available for order from OCDF.
